All About Eve

The full cast joining Ivo van Hove’s hotly anticipated stage adaptation of All About Eve has been announced.

Based on the 1950 film, All About Eve centres on Eve Harrington, a young theatre fan who is infatuated with Broadway star Margo Channing and eventually becomes her assistant. Channing will be played by Gillian Anderson, while Lily James will play the role of Eve, alongside Monica Dolan (Karen), Sheila Reid (Birdie) and Rhashan Stone (Lloyd).

Last month, it was announced that Stanley Townsend, Tsion Ian Drysdale, Tsion Habte, Charles Hagerty, Grace Stone and Philip Voyzey joined the cast.

As rehearsals begin for the production which starts previews at the Noel Coward Theatre on 10th May, it has been announced that the cast is completed by Jessie Mei Li as Claudia Casswell, with the ensemble consisting of Merric Boyd, Fejiro Emasiobi, Chanelle Modi, Stuart Nunn, Phillipa Peak and Michael Warburton.

Van Hove directs his adaptation, which features set and lighting designs by Jan Versweyveld, costumes by An D’Huys, and music by Mercury Prize winner PJ Harvey with sound design by Tom Gibbons.

In recent years, van Hove’s work in London includes the stage production of Network which currently runs on Broadway, David Bowie musical Lazarus, and Obsession at the Barbican starring Jude Law.
