Cast announced for 'The King’s Ransom' at the Donmar Warehouse

Directed by Matthew Dunster, The King’s Ransom is inspired by one of the strangest crime stories in American history: in 1977, Memphis a team of misfits plot to steal Elvis Presley's corpse.

The full cast has been announced for the world premiere of Stuart Slade’s The King’s Ransom, which begins performances at the Donmar Warehouse in London on 5 December, running through 6 February 2027.

The cast includes Charlie Cox (Vince), Tom Fletcher (Charlie), Matthew Flynn (Mr Bluefield), Blake Harrison (Rusty), Leo Patrick (Jessie Lee), Jenny Rainsford (Rhonda / Jenny), Christopher Short (Elvis), Cherrelle Skeete (Mike), and Ronnie Yorke (Red), with the role of Martha played by Ruby Barker, Eira Kay and Trixie Willis.

Directed by Matthew Dunster, The King’s Ransom is inspired by one of the strangest crime stories in American history: in 1977, Memphis a team of misfits plot to steal Elvis Presley's corpse.

The rest of the creative team includes set designer Anna Fleischle, costume designer Jean Chan, lighting designer Sally Ferguson, sound designer Holly Khan, illusion designer Chris Cox, and fight and intimacy directors Ruth Cooper-Brown and Rachel Bown-Williams of Rc-Annie.
