Casting announced for 'Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story on Stage'

Dirty Dancing follows teenager Baby as she falls in love with dancing — and her dance instructor — over one memorable summer.

Casting has been announced for the West End return of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story on Stage, which begins performances at the Prince Edward Theatre on 19 January 2027, running through 24 April 2027.

Michael O’Reilly (West Side Story, Lord of the Flies) returns as Johnny Castle, following productions in Paris, the West End and a UK tour. He is joined by Pippa Jackson in her professional stage debut as Baby Houseman and Emily Layden-Fritz (CATS!, Let Me Entertain You) as Penny Johnson.

The show's original screenwriter Eleanor Bergstein has also written the script for the stage production. She is joined in the creative team by Director and Set Designer Federico Bellone, Choreographer Austin Wilks, Music Supervisor Richard John, Lighting Designer Valerio Tiberi, Sound Designer Chris Whybrow, and Costume Designer Jennifer Irwin.

Featuring songs including "Hungry Eyes" and "(I've Had) The Time of My Life", Dirty Dancing follows teenager Baby as she falls in love with dancing — and her dance instructor — over one memorable summer.
