
Full cast set for National Theatre's 'Man and Boy'

The National Theatre has set complete casting for its winter 2026 production of Man and Boy, running at the Dorfman Theatre from 30 January to 14 March only.
As previously announced, Ben Daniels and Laurie Kynaston will play Gregor Antonescu and Basil Anthony, respectively. Joining them are Phoebe Campbell as Carol Penn, Nick Fletcher as Sven Johnson, Isabella Laughland as Countess Antonescu, Malcolm Sinclair as Mark Herries, and Leo Wan as David Beeston.
Man and Boy is set in 1930s NYC during the Great Depression, when a catastrophic business deal sends international financier Gregor fleeing to the apartment of his estranged son, Basil. The reunion tests their relationship as Gregor tries to save his business and his reputation.
The play, by Terence Rattigan, marks director Anthony Lau’s National Theatre debut. The creative team also features set and costume designer Georgia Lowe, lighting designer Elliot Griggs, intimacy director Haruka Kuroda, choreographer and movement director Aline David, composer Angus MacRae, and sound designer Giles Thomas.
