Full casting announced for London Palladium pantomime Dick Whittington
The full cast for this year's London Palladium pantomime, Dick Whittington, has been announced.
Emma Williams and Lukus Alexander will join the previously announced Julian Clary (Spirit of the Bells), Elaine Paige (Queen Rat), Ashley Banjo (The Sultan) and Diversity (The Sultan's Special Advisors), Paul Zerdin (Idle Jack), Nigel Havers (Captain Nigel), Gary Wilmot (Sarah the Cook) and Charlie Stemp (Dick Whittington).
Emma Williams will play Alice Fitzwarren as she is reunited on stage with Stemp following their West End run in Half a Sixpence, which closes on 2nd September. Williams played Helen Walsingham, and she mamde her West End debut at the Palladium as Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Her other credits include Mrs Henderson Presents (Noël Coward Theatre), Zorro (Garrick Theatre) and Love Story (Chichester Festival Theatre).
Lukus Alexander, who will play Eileen the Cat, has previously appeared in Dick Whittington at Theatre Royal Plymouth, and his other credits include Guys and Dolls (Cambridge Arts Theatre) and Doctor Atomic (London Coliseum).
Panto returned to the Palladium last year with Cinderella, which starred Amanda Holden, Paul O'Grady, Lee Mead and Natasha Barnes.
Dick Whittington will be produced by Nick Thomas and Michael Harrison for Qdos Entertainment. It is written by Alan McHugh, directed by Michael Harrison, and choreographed by Karen Bruce. It runs at the London Palladium form 9th December to 14th January, with an official opening on 13th December.
