Full casting has been announced for the second West End cast of Tina the Musical as the production prepares for both its second year in London, and its upcoming Broadway transfer.

Leads Adrienne Warren and Kobna Holbrook-Smith have both been announced to be leaving the production to lead the cast of the musical on Broadway. They will be replaced by the previously announced Nkeki Obi-Melekwe as Tina, and Ashley Zhangazha as Ike Turner. They will take over on 15th April.

As previously announced, the new cast will also include Irene-Myrtle Forrester (GG, Tina's grandmother), Howard Gossington (Phil Spector/Terry Britten), Jammy Kasongo (Tina's father Richard/Raymond), Edward Bourne (Erwin Back), Oscar Batterham (Roger Davies). Aisha Jawando will play Tina at some performances every week.

Francesca Jackson continues to play Ike and Tina's manager Rhonda Graam, Maria Omakinwa will play Tina's mother Zelma, and Ava Brennan will play Tina's sister Allin Bullock.

The ensemble members are Daniella Bowen, Chloe Chambers, Joelle Dyson, Lejaun Sheppard, Kibong Tanji, Jayme-Lee Zanoncelli, Joseph Richardson, Cameron Bernard Jones (who also plays Tina's son Craig) and Ashlee Irish (who plays Tina's son Ronnie).

Directed by Phyllida Lloyd, Tina - The Tina Turner Musical began previews at the Aldwych Theatre in March last year, with an official opening night on 17th April 2018.

With a book by Katori Hall, the musical uses some of Turner's greatest hits to tell the story of her upbringing, troubled relationships and route into the industry, and eventual fame and success which saw her become renowned as the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll.

Tina - The Tina Turner Musical is booking at the Aldwych Theatre until 21st December 2019.
