Secret Cinema will welcome back audiences this summer with the return of Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical. Performances begin at Evolution London in Battersea Park on 22 July, running through 13 September.

The two-and-a-half-hour show is based on the beloved 1978 film, which starred John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John as teenage sweethearts Danny and Sandy, who unexpectedly reunite for their senior year at Rydell High following a summer romance.

The innovative production, which sees the movie played in full on multiple giant screens while, simultaneously, live actors bring the world of Grease to life, was first staged at Evolution London in summer 2025. The show includes numbers from the film including "Summer Nights" and "Greased Lightnin'", as well as all of its iconic locations such as Frosty Palace, The Autoshop, and The Carnival.

In a review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, our critic said: "It is quite the spectacle, with the room fizzing in Grease-induced glee. Designed as a love letter to the much-beloved movie, Secret Cinema takes everything we adore about Grease and makes it even more electrifyin’."

The creative team includes director Matthew Costain, set designer Tom Rogers, choreographer Jennifer Weber, lighting designer Howard Hudson, sound designer Gareth Fry, and video designer Ian William Galloway.

Casting is yet to be announced.
