Idina Menzel to star in solo concert at Royal Albert Hall

Good news for fans of Tony Award winner Idina Menzel! The Broadway Diva will be heading back to our shores with a UK Tour this coming June, including a night at the iconic Royal Albert Hall!

Fans can expect performances of tracks from her new album idina. (her fifth studio album) which was released on 23 September 2016, as well as favourite show tunes from the world of musical theatre.

Idina Menzel previously performed at the Royal Albert Hall in 2008 in the 21st Anniversary Concert of Chess alongside fellow RENT star Adam Pascal, Kerry Ellis, Josh Groban and more. She returned to the venue in 2011 for a solo concert with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Her last UK Tour took place in June 2015, which culminated in an evening at the SSE Arena in Wembley.

Ms. Menzel took home a Tony Award in 2004 for famously originating the role of Elphaba in the smash hit musical Wicked, which she reprised in the show's West End premiere at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in 2006. She made her Broadway debut as Maureen Johnson in Jonathan Larson's cult musical RENT in 1996 and reprised the role for the 2005 film adaptation. She starred as Amneris in Elton John & Tim Rice's Aida from 2001 to 2002 and was last seen on the Great White Way in the lead role of Elizabeth in If/Then from 2014 to 2015 and subsequently starred in its National Tour of the United States.

Outside of the theatre world, she is probably best known as the voice of Elsa in Disney's classic Frozen, as well as her appearances on Glee and Disney's Enchanted. She performed "Let It Go" from Frozen at the 2014 Academy Awards, which was then awarded the Oscar for "Best Original Song."
