The London Palladium production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is set to return to the venue next summer after a riotously successful run at the theatre this year.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's musical was directed by Laurence Connor, and starred newcomer Jac Yarrow in the title role to critical acclaim. LondonTheatre.co.uk's Mark Shenton said Yarrow was the "stand-out star" in role.

Joseph, first performed in 1972, tells the story of the character of the same name from the Book of Genesis who dons a "coat of many colours" after being shunned by his brothers and sold as a slave to some passing Ishmaelites.

It features the musical theatre classics "Any Dream Will Do", "Close Every Door" and "Go, Go, Go Joseph".

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is set to return to the London Palladium from 2nd July 2020, with tickets set to go on sale on 27th September.

It has been reported that Jac Yarrow is set to return to the titular role, but there is no confirmation on whether Sheridan Smith and Jason Donovan will reprise their roles as the Narrator and the Pharaoh.

The same reports suggest the musical is poised to transfer to Broadway in 2021, with producer Michael Harrison currently in negotiations.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is at the London Palladium from 2nd July 2020.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat tickets are available from Friday 27th September.
