Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, with adaptation by Emma Reeves,will open at the Duchess Theatre 13 Oct 2004, following previews from 27 Sep, and booking to 15 Jan 2005.

This Duchess Theatre run follows three previous London seasons: on the Fringe at the Upstairs in the Gatehouse theatre in Highgate (2001) and New End Theatre in Hampstead (2001/02), and at the Lilian Baylis Theatre at Sadler's Wells (2002/03).

Alcott's 1868 novel and its sequel 'Good Wives' (1869) have been dramatised in this adaptation by Emma Reeves who has condensed the essence of the stories into a 2-hour play.

The story concerns four sisters, the March girls, a poor family growing up during the American Civil War
