MAJOR CAST CHANGES IN "CHICAGO"

There are some cast changes in CHICAGO , which celebrates its 3rd Birthday at the Adelphi Theatre on 18th Nov 00. 

Susannah Fellows  has taken over the role of 'Mama Morton' , and Mattie Clay-White will take over the role of 'Mary Sunshine' from 27th Nov 00.  The show continues to star Petra Nielsen  as 'Roxie Hart', Annette Mclaughlin as 'Velma Kelly', George Layton as 'Amos Hart', and Sacha Distel as 'Billy Flynn'. 

Susannah Fellows has appeared in many West End shows including the original productions of 'Evita', in which she took over the title role, "Me and My Girl", in which she played 'Lady Jacqueline', and "Aspects of Love", in which she played 'Rose'. Mattie Clay-White has worked extensively in West End musicals, appearing in "Phantom of the Opera", "Les Miserables" and "Kiss of the Spider Woman". 

The rest of the cast now features Emma Gray, Zoe Hardman, Simon Harper, Kerry Jay, Venessa Leagh-hicks, Cecilia Low, Anna Lowe, Graham Macduff, Duncan Macvicar, Gary Milner, Axel Olzinger, Odette Perdrisat, Joseph Pitcher, Dan Rymer and Spencer Soloman

The show is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, has a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Fred Ebb.  

"Chicago" opened in London 18th Nov 1997 and won the 1998 Laurence Olivier Award for 'Outstanding Musical Production', as well as the 1998 Critics Circle Drama Award for 'Best Musical'.

There are productions of "Chicago"  currently playing in New York, Munich and Utrecht, and will open in Buenos Aires and Switzerland in January 2001.
