Mamma Mia! has extended its booking period to 20 Oct 2012.
Based on the songs of ABBA, Mamma Mia! opened in London at the Prince Edward Theatre on 6th April 1999, following previews from 23rd March 1999. It transferred to the Prince of Wales theatre on 3 June 2004.
The cast currently includes Sally Ann Triplett (Donna Sheridan), Joanna Monro (Rosie), Kim Ismay (Tanya), William Tapley (Sam Carmichael), Oliver Senton (Harry Bright), Mark Gillis (Bill Austin), Dani De Waal (Sophie Sheridan), Craig Fletcher (Sky), Hannah Fairclough (Ali), Rachel Sargent (Lisa), Warren Sollars (Pepper), Alex Jessop (Eddie).
Mamma Mia! has been seen by more than 45 million people in over 280 cities across the world. It has grossed over $2 billion at the box office worldwide.
A film adaptation of the stage show was released in 2008 titled "Mamma Mia! The Movie".
A story of a mother and daughter set on the eve of the daughter's wedding, the musical has music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and book by Catherine Johnson.
It is designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce & Bobby Aitken and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.
It is choreographed by Anthony Van Laast and directed by Phyllida Lloyd.
