Mica Paris to lead of 'Little Piece of You - An Atypical Musical in Concert'
The soul singer behind hit singles "My One Temptation" and "Where is the Love" will star in a special concert staging at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
Now Europe can finally get a big piece of Little Piece of You. The original musical Little Piece of You - An Atypical Musical will premiere in a special concert production, led by an all-star cast, at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 31 October and 1 November only.
Mica Paris, who has cemented herself in music history for nearly four decades beginning with her debut album So Good, will star in this production as Shannon. Paris has also appeared on shows like Loose Women, Eastenders, and Strictly Come Dancing.
David Bedella, who has won three Olivier Awards and appeared in Jerry Springer: The Opera, The Rocky Horror Show, In The Heights, and & Juliet, will play Ethan. Dujonna Gift, last seen in the new musical Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), will play Britt.
Little Piece of You - An Atypical Musical features music and lyrics by 17-year-old Kjersti Long, who began writing the show when she was 14. She will also star in the production as Sydney Hill, marking her debut in Europe as both performer and writer. The show is also written by book writer Melissa Leilani Larson and co-composer/lyricist Jeremy Long, with additional lyrics by Chantry Johnson, Michelle Zarlenga, Wendy Parr, Paul Moak, and Hunter Wolfe.
The rock and roll musical follows mother and daughter Shannon and Britt as they stay together while trying not to unravel, testing the boundaries of their relationship. Jennifer Tang and Joshua Long co-direct.
