'Moulin Rouge! The Musical' announces new West End cast from October 2022

Jamie Muscato and Melissa James will now play Christian and Satine.

Hello, chickens! There’s a new Moulin Rouge! The Musical London cast. Moulin Rouge! The Musical welcomes a new company for performances at the Piccadilly Theatre from 17 October. Book Moulin Rouge! The Musical tickets on London Theatre.

Jamie Muscato will take over the role of Christian from Jamie Bogyo. Muscato originated the role of Jason ‘JD’ Dean in Heathers at The Other Palace. Melissa James takes over the role of Satine from Liisi LaFontaine. James’s theatre credits include national tours of The Bodyguard and Cats. Matt Rixon succeeds the role of Harold Zidler from Clive Carter. Elia Lo Tauro continues as Santiago.

The company includes Ben Richards as the Duke, Ian Carlyle as Toulouse-Lautrec, Amy Thornton as Nini, Tiago Dhondt Bamberger as Baby Doll, Hannah Jay-Allan as Arabia, Elliotte Williams-N’Dure as La Chocolat. Tanisha Spring continues as alternate Satine.

Based on the 2001 Baz Luhrmann movie of, Moulin Rouge! The Musical follows Christian, a lovesick American writer who falls for the club's leading singer Satine.
