National Theatre announce some productions for 2011

Nicholas Hytner has announced some forthcoming productions at the National Theatre in 2011.

Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, directed by Howard Davies, with Zoë Wanamaker as Madame Ranevskaya.

Ibsen's Emperor and Galilean, directed by Jonathan Kent.

Arnold Wesker's The Kitchen, directed by Bijan Sheibani.

Also in the Olivier will be a limited run of performances of Bach's St Matthew Passion, directed by Jonathan Miller and renewing the National's association with Southbank Sinfonia.

In November, Dominic Cooke will make his NT debut directing Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors.

Nicholas Hytner also confirmed that he will be directing Goldoni's The Servant of Two Masters, in a new version by Richard Bean, with a cast including James Corden.
