‘Newsies’ announces new London cast from April 2023

The Olivier Award-winning Disney show, following the successful Manhattan newsboys' strike of 1899, continues at the Wembley-based theatre through summer 2023.

Seize the day with the new cast members of Newsies. Newsies is at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre to 30 July.

The Newsies musical follows Jack Kelly, a New York newspaper boy who protests change and unites his fellow newsboys to fight for justice. Director and choreographer Matt Cole won the 2023 Olivier Award for Best Theatre Choreographer.

The new cast members joining on 19 April are Spencer Darlaston-Jones as Romeo, Forbes Masson as Joseph Pulitzer, Bradley Perret as Elmer, Owen Stringer as Oscar Delancey, Ben Dalton and Harry Newby as Les, Morgan Gregory, Mireia Mambo, Kai Oxley, and Lucy Young.

They join existing cast members Michael Ahomka-Lindsay as Jack Kelly, Bronté Barbé as Katherine Plumber, Moya Angela, Lindsay Atherton, Imogen Bailey, Samuel Bailey, Josh Barnett, Jack Bromage, Bobbie Chambers, Alex Christian, Arcangelo Ciulla, George Crawford, Ross Dawes Joshua Denyer, Ross Dorrington, Matthew Duckett, Jacob Fisher, Jamie Golding, Damon Gould, Barry Keenan, Ryan Kopel, Sion Lloyd, Mukeni Nel, Mark Samaras, Rory Shafford, Matt Trevorrow, Lillie-Pearl Wildman, Nesim Adnan and Ethan Sokontwe.

In a four-star review on London Theatre, Newsies is a "thrillingly immersive show... a huge, spectacular show which proves, once and for all, that musical theatre is good for the soul."

The creative team includes Morgan Large (scenic design,) Natalie Pryce (costume design,) Mark Henderson (lighting design,) and Tony Gayle (sound design.)
