"Of Mice and Men" opens at Savoy Oct 03

The Society of London Theatre report that John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men will open at the Savoy Theatre on 23 Oct 2003, starring Matthew Kelly & George Costigan.

Matthew Kelly (Lennie), is best known as the presenter of 'Stars In Their Eyes' on ITV. George Costigan (George) tv credits include 'Linda Green' and stage credits include 'Blood Brothers'.

This touring production has already played a week in London at the Richmond Theatre last month.

Directed by Jonathan Church, the play is set against the backdrop of America's Great Depression, George and Lennie are determined to buy a small farm of their own after years of ekeing out a living as itinerant farm workers. The two friends soon discover the flip side of their American Dream and the friendship is tested to its limits.
