Operation Mincemeat will return to Southwark Playhouse in 2022, as a new booking period has been confirmed. Once the show closes this weekend, Operation Mincemeat is then back at Southwark Playhouse from 14 Jan. 2022 - 19 Feb. 2022.

Set in World War Two, Operation Mincemeat follows the true story of a secret mission that assisted the Allies in defeating the Nazis. Operation Mincemeat was first staged at New Diorama Theatre, and has since been reworked during the pandemic.

In a five star review of Operation Mincemeat for LondonTheatre.co.uk, Hailey Bachrach said: "Operation Mincemeat speaks perfectly to the current political moment, but in subtle ways. Its mockery of the privileges of white masculinity, the insulating power of wealth, the recklessness of government guided by and for the few, also points at the frustrating and insidious truth of privilege: sometimes those rich jerks look like they're having so much fun."

Operation Mincemeat is written and composed by SpitLip, made up of David Cumming, Felix Hagan, Natasha Hodgson and Zoe Roberts. Donnacadh O'Briain directs, with choreography by Jenny Arnold, scenic and costume design by Helen Coyston, lighting design by Sherry Coenen and sound design by Mike Walker.

Operation Mincemeat is at Southwark Playhouse from 14 Jan. 2022 - 19 Feb. 2022.
