The Birmingham-based BBC series followed the lives of the Peaky Blinders, an underworld criminal gang that operated in early 20th-century Britain. For the Peaky Blinders dane show, audiences join Thomas Shelby in Flanders trenches in World War One, through to the criminal underworld of post-war Birmingham, and the love affair between Thomas and undercover agent, Grace.

The Commonwealth Games closing ceremony takes place at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham from 8:00pm on 8 August.

The Rambert Dance company will perform alongside Laura Mvula during the performance. Guillaume Quéau and Prince Lyons alternate the role of Thomas Shelby, with Naya Lovell and Seren Williams alternating the role of Grace. Peaky Blinders cast member Benjamin Zephaniah provides pre-recorded narration for the production.
