Penelope Wilton among cast for The Old Vic's Fanny & Alexander

Casting has been announced for The Old Vic's production of Fanny & Alexander, directed by Max Webster.

Fanny & Alexander will be part of The Old Vic's bicentenary season, celebrating the theatre's 200th birthday in May 2018. The season also includes A Christmas Carol, The Divide, Mood Music, A Monster Calls and Sylvia.

The cast for Fanny & Alexander includes:

The role of Fanny will be played by Zaris Angel Hator, Amy Jayne Leigh, Molly Shenker and Katie Simons, and the role of Alexander will be played by Guillermo Bedward, Kit Connor, Jack Falk and Misha Handley, who will alternate performances.

Fanny & Alexander opens on 1 March 2018, with previews from 21 February 2018. The production brings Ingmar Bergman's classic film to the stage, adapted by BAFTA-winning writer Stephen Beresford. 

Fanny & Alexander is at The Old Vic from 21 February 2018.
