Planned immersive theatre venue The Buzz cancels all productions

A new immersive theatre venue planned for London has cancelled all productions with immediate effect, it has been announced.

The Buzz, which was set to open in Borough later this year, had planned an immersive adaptation of classic British TV series Thunderbirds, which had already been cancelled and replaced with a production of The Time Traveller's Ball, which has now also been cancelled.

Directors of the venture said in a statement: "It is deeply upsetting that our ambition to deliver this bold and exciting addition to London's creative landscape has been paused by extraneous issues at this time."

Customers who bought tickets for either of the productions should contact their point of purchase to receive a full refund.

When it was announced in April of this year, The Buzz was described as 'a purpose-built fully flexible performance arts space for immersive and interactive theatrical events'. The venue was set to open its doors in November, and was programming for 2019.
