Puss In Boots, a pantomime written & directed by Susie McKenna, at the Hackney Empire Theatre, in east London, from 23 Nov 2013 to 5 Jan 2014.

This is Susie McKenna's 15th Hackney pantomime. From starting as principle boy in Nottingham Playhouse pantomimes, Susie is now Creative Director of Hackney Empire. "Her pantomime productions have gained a reputation for reflecting the contemporary cultural world the theatre belongs to. Each of her pantomimes is character and story led; drawing on contemporary events in London and offering a unique seasonal show that can be enjoyed by all ages."

The show has music by Steven Edis, puppets by Scott Brooker, designed by Lotte Collett, choreography by Sarah Johnston, lighting by David W Kidd, sound by Avgoustos Psillas, musical director is Mark Dickman.

In true Hackney style this rarely performed classic Perrault pantomime will be reimagined for today's audience. Packed with songs, dance routines and comedy. Our hero, Puss in Boots arrives in the merry Kingdom of Hackneyonia E8, to gain wealth and power for his master. This cunning feline swashbuckler has it all; the looks, the walk, the talk and most importantly his magic boots.
