Rehearsal images of Tina - The Tina Turner Musical released

Images of Tina Turner in rehearsals with the cast and creatives of her upcoming musical have been released. 

Tina - The Tina Turner Musical will tell the story of the rock 'n' roll legend, whose hits include "Proud Mary" and "The Best", with a book by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, and directed by Phyllida Lloyd (Mamma Mia!). 

The musical will star Adrienne Warren as Tina Turner, and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as Ike Turner when it opens at the Aldwych Theatrefrom 21st March. The cast also includes Madeline Appiah, Lorna Gayle, Tom Godwin, Francesca Jackson, Aisha Jawando, Natey Jones, Gerard McCarthy, Ryan O'Donnell, and Jenny Fitzpatrick.

Produced by Stage Entertainment, Tina will have choreography by Anthony van Laast, set and costume designs by Mark Thompson, lighting by Bruno Poet, sound by Nevin Steinberg, orchestrations by Ethan Popp and musical supervision by Nicholas Skilbeck.

Tina - The Tina Turner Musical is at the Aldwych Theatre from 21st March, with an official opening on 17th April.
