RSC's Matilda The Musical transfers to Cambridge Theatre

The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical transfers to London's Cambridge Theatre opening 22 Nov 2011, following previews from 18 Oct - booking to 12 Feb 2012.

It has book by Dennis Kelly, music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.

The entire creative team will reassemble to create the London production. Directed by Matthew Warchus, designed by Rob Howell, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, choreography by Peter Darling, sound by Simon Baker, musical supervision and orchestration by Christopher Nightingale, with special effects and illusions are by Paul Kieve.

Many adult cast members from the original production will reprise their roles at the Cambridge Theatre: Bertie Carvel (Miss Trunchbull), Paul Kaye (Mr Wormwood) , Josie Walker (Mrs Wormwood), Lauren Ward (Miss Honey), Marc Antolin, Verity Bentham, Michael Kent, Melanie La Barrie, Matthew Malthouse, Alastair Parker, Nick Searle, Emily Shaw.. Further casting will be announced soon.

Matilda The Musical is a story about a girl with extraordinary powers.
