Disney’s Newsies premiered in the West End in 2022, following a two-plus-year run on Broadway in 2012. This high-octane family musical follows Jack Kelly and a group of teenage newspaper sellers as they form a union against their boss, Joseph Pulitzer, a newspaper tycoon who demands more money from them just to work. Newsies uses extravagant, gravity-defying choreography to tell the true story of the New York 1899 newsboy strikes.

The energised ensemble utilizes the entire theatre to create a fully immersive theatre performance. A four-star London Theatre review of Newsies the Musical praises the “phenomenal use of the cavernous Wembley Park Troubadour.”
