Shona McGarty, Frances Mayli McCann join cast of Don Black's 'From The Heart'

EastEnders star McGarty and Bonnie & Clyde West End star McCann join the previously announced Caroline O’Connor, Clive Rowe and Michael D. Xavier in the cabaret show.

Shona McGarty (EastEnders) and Frances Mayli McCann (Bonnie & Clyde) have joined the cast of award-winning lyricist Don Black's From The Heart, in the West End, running at the Garrick Theatre from 8-18 October.

They join the previously announced Olivier Award winner Clive Rowe (Guys and Dolls, Hadestown), Caroline O'Connor (Chicago, Mack and Mabel), and Olivier Award nominee Michael D. Xavier (Sunset Boulevard, Into The Woods). Nick Winston (Bonnie & Clyde, Calamity Jane) directs, with musical direction by Joe Church (Mayflies, Peter Pan) and arrangements by Nick Barstow (Next To Normal, Wizard of Oz).

Black's From The Heart is a tribute to the New York cabaret scene that inspired his career, and each performance will feature a surprise guest. The show features Black's most well-known songs, including "Born Free", "Ben", "Love Changes Everything", "With One Look", "To Sir With Love", and "As If We Never Said Goodbye", alongside new songs with music written together with composers like Gary Barlow, Natasha Bedingfield, David Arnold, Debbie Wiseman and Mike Batt.

Black is known for his work on musicals including Sunset Boulevard, Aspects of Love, Tell Me on a Sunday, as well as for writing five James Bond themes.
