Stephanie Beatriz to star in ‘2:22 - A Ghost Story’ West End revival
Giovanna Fletcher, James Buckley and Elliot Cowan will also be in the show.
Stephanie Beatriz will make her West End debut as Lauren in 2:22 - A Ghost Story. Beatriz plays Carla in the In The Heights film, which was released earlier this year, and also stars in Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Speaking about joining the cast, Beatriz said: "I was on the edge of my seat reading it, and I hope you will be too when you watch it! I am excited to be playing a Latinx American trying to make sense of this very unusual and intense London setting."
Giovanna Fletcher will play Jenny, the role played by Lily Allen earlier this year. Fletcher won I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2020, and has also starred in The Christmasaurus, alongside husband Tom Fletcher, Carrie Hope Fletcher and Matt Wills. James Buckley will play Ben, with Elliot Cowan joining the cast as Sam.
2:22 - A Ghost Story follows Jenny, a woman who believes her new house is haunted. Inviting friends over for dinner, the guests try to contact the dead, staying up until 2:22am to find out what lies in the spiritual world.
In a review of 2:22 - A Ghost Story for LondonTheatre.co.uk, Matt Wolf said: "2:22 A Ghost Story to its credit has more on its mind, including a meditation on the debilitating legacy of loss that stays with you long after the collective nervous laughter from the crowd has ceased."
2:22 - A Ghost Story is by Danny Robins, and directed by Matthew Dunster. The play features set design by Anna Fleischle, costume design by Cindy Lin, lighting design by Lucy Carter, sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph Sound.
