The Father transfers to Wyndham's for limited run

It has been announced that Theatre Royal Bath Productions and the Tricycle Theatre will transfer The Father, by Florian Zeller in a new translation by Christopher Hampton, to the Wyndham's Theatre, opening on 5 October 2015, following previews from 30 September, for a limited run until 21 November 2015. The production will also play at the Cambridge Arts Theatre prior to it's West End run, from 15 to 26 September.

James Macdonald will direct, with scenic design by Miriam Buether, lighting by Guy Hoare and sound by Christopher Shutt. The cast includes Kenneth Cranham (Andre), Claire Skinner (Anne) and Rebecca Charles.

Synopsis:"Now 80 years old, Andre was once a tap dancer. He lives with his daughter Anne and her husband Antoine. Or was he an engineer whose daughter Anne lives in London with her new lover, Pierre? The thing is, he is still wearing his pyjamas, and he can't find his watch. He is starting to wonder if he's losing control."

The production has enjoyed successful and critically acclaimed runs at the Ustinov Studio in Bath and the Tricycle Theatre, a fringe venue in north west London.
