The Last Cigarette at Trafalgar Studios from 21 April

The Chichester Festival production of The Last Cigarette, will transfer to the West End's Trafalgar Studio One Theatre, opening 28 April 2009, following previews from 21 April - booking to 1 Aug 2009.

Starring Felicity Kendal, Nicholas le Prevost , Jasper Britton

It is adapted by Hugh Whitemore and Simon Gray from Gray's The Smoking Diaries.

Directed by Richard Eyre, designed by Rob Howell, lighting by John Driscoll, music by George Fenton.

"Sardonic, humane, intelligent and often outrageously funny", this stage version of The Last Cigarette was completed just before Gray's death last summer and draws on his many volumes of memoirs, including Fat Chance, Enter a Fox, The Smoking Diaries and Coda.

Felicity Kendal is best known from the 70s BBC TV series "The Good Life". Her other TV credits include "Solo" and "The Mistress". Her West End stage credits include: "The Vortex" at the Apollo in 2008; "Amy's View" at the Garrick in 2006; "Happy Days" at the Arts in 2003 "Humble Boy" at the Gielgud in 2002; "Fallen Angels" at the Apollo in 2000; "Alarms & Excursions" at the Gielgud in 1998; "Waste" & "The Seagull" at the Old Vic in 1997; "Mind Millie For Me" at the Haymarket in 1996; "Indian Ink" at the Aldwych in 1995.

Nicholas le Prevost recent West End stage credits include: "On Insomnia and Midnight" at the Royal Court in 2006;"The Philadelphia Story" at the Old Vic in 2005; "Fuddy Meers" at the Arts in 2004; "Blood" at the Royal Court in 2003; "Much Ado About Nothing" for the RSC at Haymarket in 2002; "My Fair Lady" at the Lyttelton, NT & Drury Lane in 2001.

Jasper Britton's recent West End stage credits include: "Fram" at the Olivier, NT in 2008; "Rhinoceros" at the Royal Court in 2007; "Becket" at the Haymarket in 2004; "The Tamer Tamed" & "Taming of the Shrew" both for the RSC at the Queen's in 2004; "Bedroom Farce" at the Aldwych in 2002; "Japes" at the Haymarket in 2001.
