Lift off into space with The Smeds and The Smoos this summer. The Smeds and The Smoos is at the Lyric Theatre during the summer holidays, with performances from 20 July to 3 September.

The story follows two groups of aliens who stay away from each other. When a “Smed”, a red alien, and a “Smoo”, a blue alien, become best friends, the pair do all they can to unite the families.

The Smeds and The Smoos is an award-winning story from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Donaldson and Scheffler's stories include The Gruffalo.

“I loved the show – the brilliantly alien set and lighting, the energetic acting and the wonderful puppets. My favourite was the Lurgle!” said Donaldson.

Tall Stories's founder Toby Mitchell directs Felicia Akin-Tayo, Tom Capper, Robert Penny, Andrea Sadler, and understudy Grace Liston.
