War Horse extends its booking period to 21 Oct 2016

The National Theatre's production of War Horse has extended its booking period to 21 October 2016 at the New London Theatre.

Now in its eighth year in the West End, the production has been seen by over 6 million worldwide and features a cast of 26 actors and 12 puppeteers.

The cast currently includes:

Based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, War Horse, is directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris with designs by Rae Smith, lighting by Paule Constable, sound by Christopher Shutt and Puppet designs and fabrication by Adrian Kohler.

"At the outbreak of World War One, Joey, young Albert's beloved horse, is sold to the cavalry and shipped to France. He's soon caught up in enemy fire, and fate takes him on an extraordinary odyssey, serving on both sides before finding himself alone in no man's land. But Albert cannot forget Joey and, still not old enough to enlist, he embarks on a treacherous mission to find him and bring him home".

War Horse was originally at the Olivier NT from 9 Oct 2007 to 14 Feb 2008. It returned to the Olivier NT 10 Sep 2008 to 18 March 2009 before its transfer to the West End's New London Theatre, opening 3 April 2009, following previews from 28 March 2009 - and is now booking to 21 Oct 2016.
