Natalie Casey hails from Rawtenstall, Lancashire, and is the youngest person ever to have a recording in the music charts in England - she was just 3 years old when her 1984 single “Chick Chick Chicken” reached number 72! She is best known for her television roles in Hollyoaks, where she played Carol Groves for four years from 1996 to 2000, and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, the hugely successful BBC series that ran from 2001 to 2011.
Musical Theatre is in her blood (her older sister being much-celebrated West End performer Anna Jane Casey), and Natalie has appeared in Fame at the Shaftesbury Theatre (2007), Julia in a UK tour of The Wedding Singer (2008), Ado Annie in Oklahoma! at the Chichester Festival Theatre, Paulette in the Olivier Award-winning Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre (2011) and as Judy Bernly in the first UK tour of Dolly Parton’s musical 9 To 5 (2012).
No stranger to straight theatre, Casey has appeared in productions of The Vagina Monologues, Hobson’s Choice (alongside her sister), Well, The Invisible Man and Abigail’s Party at the Menier Chocolate Factory and the Wyndham's Theatre, and most recently in the UK tour of Frantic Assembly’s Things I Know To Be True.
Natalie returns to the West End in Maria Friedman’s new production of Stepping Out.
