Tom Millward was born in 1982 and raised in Bolton, Lancashire. After successfully completing his GCSEs in 1998 and A-Levels in 2000 at Bolton Grammar School (which also happens to be the school attended by his favourite actor, Sir Ian McKellen), he went on to study Theatre, Film & Television with German at the University of Bristol.

After Graduation in 2004, and having already spent a year abroad in Munich, he decided to move to Berlin and initially pursued a career in Television Production. He worked from a Trainee up to Assistant Producer level at various companies, including VIVA, Discovery Channel and All3Media, but spent most of his tenure at MTV.

During his time at MTV Networks, he primarily produced music documentaries focusing on the lives and careers of some of the world's biggest musicians, including Linkin Park, 50 Cent, Depeche Mode and Tupac Shakur, as well as focusing on specific music genres, where he also interviewed prominent artists such as Jamie Foxx, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige and Ne-Yo ("A Basic Course in R&B") or Foo Fighters, Korn, The Killers and Kaiser Chiefs ("A Basic Course in Rock").

In Germany, he rekindled his passion for Theatre, whilst attending shows produced by leading theatrical producers Stage Entertainment and upon moving to London in 2008, he decided to try a career change and work in the Theatre industry. He was instantly hooked by the shows on offer to him in the West End, and worked in Sales for The Society of London Theatre, where he also had the opportunity to work huge events of the theatrical calendar, including West End Live! and the Laurence Olivier Awards.

After a brief stint in Manchester, working for the Ambassador Theatre Group at Manchester's Palace Theatre and Opera House from 2012-13, he returned to London within the same company, transferring to the West End's Lyceum Theatre; home of Disney's "The Lion King".

In February 2014, he was delighted to join the London and New York Theatre Guide team as Editor.

Tom currently lives in North London and besides Theatre, his other interests include Rugby, Marvel and DC Comics, Live Music, Theme Parks, Cinema, and Animation.
