What’s it like to go to the theatre and not know what you’re going to see? Across the summer and for three performances only, it will be up to you to vote for which of our plays the Globe Touring Ensemble delivers that day.
Actors call it ‘terrifying’, audiences say it’s exhilarating. So wave your arms and stomp your feet as much as you can for the play you want to see, and blow the (figurative) roof off the Globe Theatre. Audiences can pick between As You Like It, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest.
The rules are simple: you decide.
Theseus: ‘What revels are in hand? Is there no play To ease the anguish of a torturing hour?’
Philostrate: ‘Make choice of which your highness will see first.’
– A Midsummer Night’s Dream
When attending a performance in one of our theatres, you will be asked to arrive and queue at either the main foyer on New Globe Walk or the Groundling Gates on Bankside (opposite the river) at a specified time slot.
Instructions for where you should go and your time slot will be on your e-tickets and sent to you in a pre-visit email. On arrival you will be asked to do a temperature check before entering the building.
The venue is contactless. When you arrive, show your booking reference on a device. We will only accept contactless payments, including Apple Pay. Cash not accepted.
Those over the age of 11 must wear a face covering for the duration of their visit to the Globe Theatre, unless they are exempt.
We encourage a 1.5m social distance between people at all times – this is enforced by staff and visible floor markers.
Please follow any one-way or other directional signage that we have put in place for your safety.
We have hand sanitiser stations located across our site. We also have enhanced cleaning, including toilets
