Peter and Evelyn appear to have had a blissfully happy marriage, but Evelyn’s decline pushes Peter to the brink. Robin, their son doesn’t feel able to cope, and translates everything into a film scenario and Sally their lesbian daughter sees all relationships as a sacrifice and a curtailing of freedom. When she meets Grace at a wedding she just wants a fling, but Grace wants commitment and love.
