A Wedding Story by Bryony Lavery at Tristan Bates in Feb

The Plays The Thing presents A Wedding Story by Bryony Lavery, at the Tristan Bates Theatre, a 60-seat fringe venue in Covent Garden, from 17 to 22 Feb 2014.

Peter and Evelyn appear to have had a blissfully happy marriage, but Evelyn's decline pushes Peter to the brink. Robin, their son doesn't feel able to cope, and translates everything into a film scenario and Sally their lesbian daughter sees all relationships as a sacrifice and a curtailing of freedom. When she meets Grace at a wedding she just wants a fling, but Grace wants commitment and love.

A Wedding Story is interspersed with excerpts from the film 'Casablanca'.
