Following performances at Lyric Hammersmith, Accidental Death of an Anarchist will transfer to the West End this summer. Accidental Death of an Anarchist begins previews at Theatre Royal Haymarket from 12 June, with an opening night on 26 June, and performances to 9 September.

Tom Basden adapts Dario Fo and Franca Rame’s play with a contemporary London setting. When an anarchist falls to his death from a police station, investigators must decide if he jumped or he was pushed. But, when a maniac recreates events, the police officers must confront their coverups and idiocy.

Daniel Rigby will play the Maniac, alongside Tony Gardner as Superintendent Curry. The full West End cast will be announced at a later date.

The Lyric Hammersmith cast included Shane David-Joseph as Constable Joseph, Jordan Metcalfe as Detective Daisy, Ruby Thomas as Fi Phelan, and Howard Ward as Inspector Burton.

Daniel Raggett directs, with set and costume design by Anna Reid, lighting design by Jai Morjaria, and sound design and composition by Annie May Fletcher.

Accidental Death of an Anarchist will be at Theatre Royal Haymarket.
