Smart Productions presents Oscar Wilde's An Ideal Husband, directed by David Phipps-Davis, at The Tabard Theatre near Turnham Green, in west London, from 01 Jul to 19 Jul 2014.

Synopsis: 'Set in an upper-class world of fops and dandies, Oscar Wilde's social satire questions the morality of seemingly upstanding politicians. Sir Robert is a well-respected politician whose spotless reputation is the pride of his beautiful wife and adoring daughter, but when an old acquaintance threatens to reveal a dark secret from Robert's past, only his womanizing, party-loving best friend is scheming and dishonest enough to come to his aid. As the plot unfolds, Sir Robert's mask cracks and his flaws are revealed. Can his present actions right his previous wrongs? A question remains: what makes An Ideal Husband?.'

The cast of An Ideal Husband includes Eileen Battye (Lady Markby), Kathryn Hamilton-Hall (Gertrude Chiltern), Doug Cooper, Michael Kenneth Stewart, Sara Langridge, Francesca Meredith, Jill Rutland, Jamie Thompson, and Scott Westwood.
