Andrew Lloyd Webber's new musical "The Woman in White", confirmed at the Palace Theatre in Sep 2004

It has now been confirmed that the new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical The Woman in White will open at the Palace Theatre in September 2004.

(Tickets go on sale in Feb 2004)

Casting will be announced in the New Year!

The musical has been freely adapted by Charlotte Jones from Wilkie Collins's Victorian thriller. It has lyrics by David Zippel and a 'hauntingly romantic' score by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The Woman in White is directed by Trevor Nunn, and co-produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and the Really Useful Theatre Company.

A handsome young man is stranded at a remote railway cutting. Out of the darkness looms a woman, a mysterious figure dressed in white, who burns to tell a chilling secret. Two sisters find themselves snared in a web of betrayal and greed, the victims of a flawless crime. Unprotected in a man's world, they will need all their resourcefulness and corage to outwit a villain of overpowering charisma and ingenuity. But they can also rely on the guiding hand of love.
