The Young Vic's production of Samuel Beckett's Happy Days starring Juliet Stevenson will return to the venue in Southwark, south London from 13 Feb to 21 Mar 2015.

The prodution is directed by Natalie Abrahami and features designs by Vicki Mortimer. The play has become one of Beckett's most iconic and follows the life of the middle aged Winnie who is buried up to her waist in sand. As day and night are no more, the hours of waking and sleeping are signified by the ringing of a bell. Winnie is forced to confront and consider her existential despair with diversions and distractions that often lead to moments of optimism and memory.

Happy Days enjoyed positive notices, including our own four star review, with unanimous praise for Stevenson's performance.

Tickets for the 2015 production are on sale today (25 Mar), along with tickets for their summer 2014 production of A Streetcar Named Desire starring Gillian Anderson.
