Theatrical television and films to watch out for this Christmas

If you saw David Mitchell in Upstart Crow, you'll want to see the original TV version over the festive period. The filmed stage version of Half A Sixpence, now called Kipps, is also coming to BBC this December, starring Charlie Stemp. Anything Goes is also on our screens this Boxing Day.

Trying to find ways to entertain young ones before Santa comes to town? There's plenty of television choices including Frozen, Matilda, and School of Rock. Why not watch older musical films with the younger generation: Kiss Me Kate, Catch Me If You Can, and South Pacific are just a few of the musical films to enjoy this Christmas.

Imagine you're in New York this Christmas too, thanks to the TV guide. David Byrne's American Utopia will be shown this Christmas, as well as a freestyle love supreme documentary.
