The hit-Mumbai musical Beyond Bollywood will make its West End debut, opening at the London Palladium on 11 May 2015, following previews from 8 May 2015 where it is booking until 27 June 2015.

Described as "a monsoon of emotion that brings the fire, heat and desire of Indian dance direct to the heart of London", this new show is written, choreographed and directed by Rajeev Goswami, with lyrics by Irfan Siddiqui and features an original score by Salim-Sulaiman.

"In the quest of fulfilling her mother's dying wish Shaily Shergill leaves behind her home in Munich to journey India. Will her mother's dream turn into reality?"

Beyond Bollywood is a colourful dance extravaganza celebrating the history and resonance of Indian arts. Featuring hundreds of sumptuous costumes and a company of 42, the show will take audiences on a truly authentic cultural tour of India.

With strong emphasis on Indian Classical folk dance, the piece will showcase the diverse dance styles that span the continent and still hold great value and importance in India, which will be performed by award-winning classical Indian and Bollywood dancers.

The score reflects India's rich and evocative musical history and features live musicians performing traditional tracks using Indian instruments. Salim and Sulaiman have been composing music for over a decade, and their film credits include 'Heroine', 'Chak De!' 'India', and 'Rab Ne Bana'. They have also worked on a Bollywood remix for Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way'.
