Birthday extends 1 week to 11 Aug at Royal Court

Birthday, a new play by Joe Penhall, has extended its run by 1 week to 11 Aug 2012 at the Royal Court Theatre.

The play opened at the Royal Court Downstairs 28 June 2012, following previews from 22 June, to average notices from the popular press: "Often hilarious and provocative play ...Birthday is full of joys." (Independent); "After a tremendous opening, packed with stinging lines, Birthday fades away." (Evening Standard); "Stark, stylish and briskly efficient production." (Telegraph).

The cast includes Stephen Mangan (Ed), Lisa Dillon (Lisa), Louise Brealey (Natasha), Llewella Gideon (Joyce)

Birthday is directed by Roger Michell, designed by Mark Thompson, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by John Leonard.

Lisa and Ed are having another baby. Determined to do things differently this time, it's proving a bumpy ride. This is a whole new birth plan.
