George Bernard Shaw's Mrs Warren's Profession, starring Brenda Blethyn, and directed by Peter Hall, will open at the Strand Theatre on 10th Oct 02, following previews from 2nd Oct 02, and booking to 18th Jan 03

Brenda Blethyn's last West End stage appearance was in Alan Bennett's "Habeas Corpus" at the Donmar Warehouse in 1996. Her film credits include Mike Leigh's "Secrets and Lies" (1996), "Little Voice" (1998) and "Saving Grace" (2000).

Miss Vivie Warren is an educated, spirited, independent young woman with a sizeable income from her mother, the enigmatic Mrs Warren. When, after a lengthy absence abroad, Mrs Warren returns, it is evident that one question above all must be answered...what exactly is Mrs Warren's profession?
