Broken Glass at the Vaudeville and Tricycle Theatre

The Tricycle Theatre production of Broken Glass by Arthur Miller, will open at the West End's Vaudeville Theatre, 16 Sep 2011, following previews from 14 Sep, booking to 10 Dec 2011.

Before the West End run, the production will return to play at the Tricycle Theatre, a fringe venue in Kilburn, north London, from 10 Aug 2011 to 10 Sep. (This productioon played at the Tricycle in Oct & Nov 2010).

Antony Sher, reprises his role as 'Phillip Gellburg', and Tara Fitzgerald as 'Sylvia Gellburg'.

It is directed by Iqbal Khan, and produced in the West End by PW Productions and Tricycle London Productions.

Phillip and Sylvia Gellburg are a Jewish married couple living in New York in the last days of November 1938. Sylvia suddenly becomes partially paralysed from the waist down after reading about the events of Kristallnacht in the newspaper. Dr. Harry Hyman is contacted by Phillip to try and help Sylvia recover. Dr. Hyman believes that Sylvia's paralysis is psychosomatic, and though he is not a psychiatrist, he begins to treat her according to his diagnosis.

Antony Sher's, London stage credits include "Kean" at the Apollo in 2007; "Primo" at the Cottesloe, NT in 2004; "Othello" RSC at the Trafalgar Studios in 2004; "I.D" at the Almeida in 2003.

Tara Fitzgerald's London Stage credits include "A Doll's House" at the Donmar Warehouse in 2009; "The Misanthrope" at the Comedy in 2009; "And Then There Were None" at the Gielgud in 2005. Her tv credits include "The Virgin Queen", "Waking the Dead", and the BBC's adaptation of "Jane Eyre".
