Casting announced for return of 'Ride The Cyclone'

The musical follows six teenagers suspended in limbo following a freak roller-coaster accident. They are each granted a final chance of life, but must prove they deserve it.

The cast starring as the St Cassian’s Chamber Choir has been revealed for the return of Ride the Cyclone at Southwark Playhouse Elephant. Performances begin on 19 June running through 22 August.

The St Cassian’s Chamber Choir will be played by Kayna Montecillo (The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, Starlight Express) as Ocean and Josh Butler (Why Am I So Single?, Bronco Billy) as Noel.

Returning to the show are Grace Galloway (Educating Rita, Priscilla The Party) as Jane Doe, Robyn Gilbertson as Constance, Bartek Kraszewski as Mischa, and Jack Maverick as Ricky.

The cast is completed by Nathaniel Purnell (Shucked, The Time Traveller’s Wife) and Rebecca D’Lacey (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) as swings.

Written by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell, the show returns to Southwark Playhouse following a UK premiere run in 2025. The musical follows six teenagers suspended in limbo following a freak roller-coaster accident. They are each granted a final chance of life, but must prove they deserve it.

The rest of the creative team includes director/choreographer Lizzi Gee, with musical direction and supervision by Ben McQuigg, set and costume design by Ryan Dawson Laight, lighting design by Tim Deiling, video design by Nina Dunn for PixelLux, sound design by Tom Marshall, and illusion design by Richard Pinner.

Producers Kevin McCollum, Morris Berchard and Jack Maple said of the show’s return: “We couldn’t be more excited to bring Ride The Cyclone back for another ride. We were delighted that we sold out our initial run, and are thrilled to be returning to Southwark in 2026 to give those who missed out on tickets the first time around a chance to Ride The Cyclone."
