The full West End cast of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at the Piccadilly Theatre has been announced.

Joshua Jenkins makes his West End debut leading the cast as Christopher Boone. He led the first touring cast of the production in a 31-date tour of the UK, then carried on the role on an international tour across Australia, Asia and Canada.

Alongside Jenkins, the rest of the cast members include Julie Hale (Siobhan), Stuart Laing (Ed), Emma Beattie (Judy), Sean McKenzie (Reverend Peters), Eliza Collings (Mrs Shears), Lucas Hare (Mr Shears), Gemma Knight Jones (Punk Girl), Lynette Clark (Mrs Alexander), Craig Stein (Mr Thompson). Sam Newton will play Christopher at some performances.

The understudies are Kieran Garland, Emma-Jane Goodwin, Rose Riley and Joe Rising.

Written by Mark Haddon in 2003, the book was later adapted for stage by Simon Stephens and premiered at the National Theatre in 2012. The story concerns Christopher Boone, a teenager whose inquisitive mind grows when he notices that his neighbour's dog has died during the night. As he searches for clues to find out who killed the dog, Christopher begins to learn more about his family and his surroundings, taking him out of his comfort zone.

The play received stellar reviews upon opening, later transferring to the West End. It opened at the Apollo Theatre in 2013, closing at the Gielgud Theatre on 3rd June 2017. The show broke records when it won seven Olivier Awards in 2013, including best new play.

The show is directed by Marianne Elliot, whose directorial credits include Company at the Gielgud Theatre, as well as Angels in America and War Horse at the National Theatre.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time will open at the Piccadilly Theatre on 28th November 2018.
