Casting confirmed for "Tintin" at Barbican Theatre

Casting has been confirmed for the Young Vic/Bite:05 production of Tintin, which opens at the Barbican Theatre 14 Dec 2005, following previews from 29 Nov - running to 21 Jan 2006.

Based on Herge's (Georges Remi) 'Tintin in Tibet ', with dramatisation by  Rufus Norris & David Greig, the cast is: Russell Tovey (Tintin), Sam Cox (Captain Haddock), Simon Trinder (Snowy), Tom Wu (Tharkey), Kenon Mann (Chang), Jason Rowe (Thomson), Nick Tigg (Thomson), Nicola Blackwell (Madam Castafiori), Duncan Wisbey (Nestor), Graham Kent (Pundit), Mark Lockyer (Calculus and Grant Abbot), Miltos Yerolemou (Yeti), Simon Lim (Ensemble), Michael Camp (Ensemble).

It is directed by Rufus Norris, designed by Ian MacNeil, lighting by Rick Fisher , sound by Paul Arditti.

The story follows our intrepid reporter's quest to save his good friend Chang, into the snow fields of the Himalayas where the legendary abominable snowman is rumoured to live. Tintin is joined on his journey by a host of iconic characters including the irascible sea dog Captain Haddock
