
'Catarina and the Beauty of Killing Fascists' to have UK premiere at the National Theatre
The show follows a singular Portuguese family which, for over 70 years, has gathered at their country house for an annual ritual: the execution of a fascist.
Portuguese playwright Tiago Rodrigues will make his National Theatre debut with Catarina and the Beauty of Killing Fascists. This makes the play's UK premiere.
The play will run for one week, from 19–26 September, in the Dorfman theatre.
The production will be performed in its native Portuguese with English surtitles. The show follows a singular Portuguese family which, for over 70 years, has gathered at their country house for an annual ritual: the execution of a fascist.
Rodrigues is also director of annual arts event the Avignon Festival.
