Cleveland Street The Musical - Above the Stag 26 April

Boys of the Empire presents Cleveland Street the Musical, book and lyrics by Glenn Chandler, music by Matt Devereaux, at Above the Stag Theatre, a fringe venue in Victoria, central London, from 26 April to 29 May 2011.

Directed by Tim McArthur, designed by Fiona Russell, lighting by Chris Withers, musical director is Aaron Clingham.

Queen Victoria is on the throne. Not far away, Post Office Telegraph messenger boys are being recruited for a male brothel in a smart townhouse in Cleveland Street W1. Among their clients are Lords, politicians - and possibly even the Queen's grandson. Set to a rollicking score this is a wicked and bawdy tale of sex, lies, hypocrisy and cover-ups.
