Cool Rider in Concert Casting Update

Cool Rider the Cult Musical Sequel in Concert which runs at the Duchess Theatre from 15 to 19 Apr 2014 has today announced further casting, including Mark Benton and Nikki Evans. The production originally played a one night engagement at the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue, but after a positive critical response it will enjoy a week long run at the Duchess Theatre in the heart of the West End. It is based on the popular cult film 'Grease 2' which starred Michelle Pfeiffer and Maxwell Caulfield, and features songs and characters from the film in a concert format.

The cast is led by Ashleigh Gray and Aaron Sidwell who will reprise the roles of Stephanie and Michael. Mark Benton will play the role of Mr Stuart, alongside Nikki Evans as Ms Mason. Benton was recently seen on the BBC show 'Strictly Come Dancing', and toured the UK as Edna Turnblad in 'Hairspray'. Evans reached the semi-finals of the 2007 series of X Factor, and has since played lead roles in 'Blood Brothers' and 'Legally Blonde'.

Stewart Clarke will play Jonny, alongside Luke Fetherston as Goose, Joshua Dowen as Louis, Harry Francis as Davey, Hannah Levane as Paulette, Bronte Barbe as Sharon and Lucinda Lawrence as Rhonda. The ensemble includes James Darch, Fela Lufadeju, Katy Hards, Lisa Ritchie, Jak Allen Anderson, Joseph O'Reilly, Danielle Mullan, Simone Murphy and Parisa Shahmir.
